Position: Bike Valet
Status: Seasonal Part-Time (Approximately May - October)
Reports to: Operations Manager, Cascadia Mobility
Location: Eugene, OR
BACKGROUND & SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Cascadia Mobility is Eugene's nonprofit operator for bike share, bike valet, and other programs which elevate active transportation. We are growing our team as our scope broadens in 2022.
A NOTE ON COVID-19
All team members are required to comply with federal, state, and local guidelines for preventing the spread of respiratory disease. This includes wearing masks when appropriate, frequent handwashing, and maintaining up-to-date vaccination.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
The Bike Valet will work closely with customers and with the Valet Lead at events to provide white-glove valet services to customers.
Deeply understand Bike Valet procedures as described in training documentation.
Help setup and tear down of Bike Valet operations hardware at events.
Take and return customers’ bikes.
Follow best practices.
Other duties as assigned.
Able to manage dynamic priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer service skills.
Available for at least five Bike Valet events posted to the calendar.
Respect for customer confidentiality.
Able to function both autonomously and as part of a team.
Can lift up to 65 pounds, bend and stand for long periods of time.
Open to others' ideas and a willingness to try new things.
Eager and able to work outdoors year-round, rain or shine.
Pay: $15/hour, paid semi-monthly
Tips: Valet customers love to tip! At the end of each event day, you will divide tips with other valet staff and volunteers equitably, based on hours worked at the event.
